The Blue Line Light Rail Extension represents over $3.2 billion in development and investment opportunities along the 13 mile stretch of the projected railway corridor. The Metropolitan Council and Hennepin County have actively engaged communities potentially impacted by the project - with a particular focus on the Northside. HIstorically excluded from major investments, the Northside is primed and positioned for exponential growth and development as a major artery along the Blue Line Extension. Northside residents, business owners, youth and elders, gathered for a series of inspired visioning - DREAM sessions. Through guided facilitation, participants were encouraged to DREAM and create a shared vision for our beloved Northside. From mixed housing developments, wellness and entertainment businesses, green space, and more, over 488 DREAMS emerged through the process.

 

It is from this process that INspireNorth Community Development Corporation emerged. A trusted vessel - by Northsiders, with Northsiders - to curate and help residents and businesses actualize many of their dream developments and services.

 

INspireNorth CDC will serve as a development resource hub. From technical assistance with design & development, access to capital, navigating local and state government, we serve as community connectors to make those DREAMS a reality.
